Canvass back henText Box: Duck Decoy’s  can be traced back as early as the first settlers ,the Indians were the first  to actually make the first Duck decoy using it as a means of a hunting tool to lure ducks close enough for striking, it didn't take long for the first settlers to copy this method of hunting and started to carve their own Duck Decoy’s making a rig for hunting and over the years Hunting decoy’s were carved more realistic and became  Decorative Decoys many people started to collect them ,and now today is one of North America’s best known folk art .No matter where you put them in your home they somehow enhance there surrounding’s whether it be placed on a fireplace mantle or shelf or table or perhaps beside a favorite wicker basket on the floor they make a room say something about your taste and reflection of nature all around us.
